It’s hard to believe Easter is right around the corner! We have an exciting weekend planned and hope you’ll join us as we pause to reflect on the crucifixion of Christ on Good Friday and celebrate his resurrection on Easter morning!
Our Good Friday service will be April 15 at 6:30pm. This will be a time of worship and reflection as we hear story of Jesus’ crucifixion and death from the Gospel of Matthew. We will close our evening by sharing together in the Lord’s Supper. This service will be livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook.
SUNRISE SERVICE UPDATE!!!!
We will also have an Easter Sunrise service at 6:30am! The service will be held outdoors (weather permitting) on the west half of the parking lot behind the church. We will have a time of worship and hear the resurrection story from the Gospel of Matthew. The service has been moved into the sanctuary due to cooler weather forecast for Easter morning. This service will be live streamed on Facebook and YouTube.
As a last minute addition to our Easter weekend events we have included a breakfast Easter morning from 9am to 10am. We will be serving pancakes, eggs, and sausage! If you attend a Sunday School class, check with your teacher to see if you will still be meeting during the Sunday School hour.
Our Easter morning worship service will be at our regular service time of 10:30am. Join us as we worship together and celebrate our risen Savior! Our kids will be dismissed part of the way through the service for a special lesson and activity in our Children’s Department. If you would prefer to keep your children with you during the entire service, you are absolutely free to do so. We will have an unstaffed nursery and an overflow area in our fellowship hall for parents if they need to take children out. The service will be streamed on TVs in both areas. Pastor Matt will be sharing a message from the Gospel of John entitled Empty Tomb/Locked Doors. This service will be live streamed on YouTube and Facebook.
We are also having an Easter Egg Hunt following our worship service! This is for ages 0-12 and will be held in the softball field behind the church. We’ll begin approximately 15 minutes following the close of the service. Further information will be available that morning.
We are excited to celebrate with you this Easter! If you have any questions or would like more information, you can email the church office – cantonfirstnaz@gmail.com or call the church at 309-647-2397. We hope you can join us as we celebrate the truth that HE IS RISEN!
